Messy Love: Decision
Love is not a feeling but a decision. We usually link how we treat people to how they behave or how we feel about them. God's command to love our neighbor as ourselves pushes us past our feelings and calls us to make the decisive decision to love others. Come this Sunday for God to reorient you away from treating others based on what they do and instead on what Jesus has done.

    Messy Love: Sacrifice
Messy love means self sacrifice. This Sunday we eavesdrop on Jesus’ conversation with a rich man. Jesus tells him to give up all his wealth and follow Jesus. This makes us ask, “What do we need to give up in order to follow Jesus?” Come this Sunday asking this questions, but come ready to hear what you might not expect!

    Messy Love: Mercy
The story of the Good Samaritan may be familiar, but it pushes us into loving like we normally ignore. Love is messy. This week we see that godly love means messy mercy. Come for a familiar story, but beware: messy mercy means doing something about what you know!

    Messy Love: Forgiveness
We begin our fall message “Messy: Loving Others Isn’t Easy!” Love messes with us: making us honestly deal with the messes in our lives, and it makes us really deal with the messes others cause for us. Forgiveness is a very messy part of love! Yet only forgiveness releases us as we release others. This Sunday we’ll invite the Holy Spirit to bring this healing in and through us. Come ready for a mess!
