If you could have anyone’s car, home, abilities, physical appearance, spouse, or life, whose would you have? Notice, as you consider this question, the awakening of that inner “itchy” feeling as you want what you can’t have. That’s coveting. It’s not just wanting (we all want nice things), but it’s the inner restlessness in wanting what is (or should be) beyond your grasp. This Sunday our discipleship goal is to want instead what God wants for us.
